On September 26th, a special event was held at the South Africa House in Trafalgar Square. The event was hosted by the South African High Commission, the DTI and Lancelot Clark, Patriarch of the Clarks Shoe Family. Check out this image link below and catch some very cool technology that is being used to help get the word out on the very good things Soul of Africa is doing!

And by the way… they are making some beautiful shoes! Check out the image links below to visit the UK site for Soul of Africa!

Lions and tigers and bears…men are not shying away from animal prints this year as seen on runways and on some of today’s hottest celebrities and music artists.

An array of bold patterns including zebra, leopard and snakeskin can be found on men’s clothing items including shoes, jackets, shirts and ties. These prints are not for the faint of heart but for men with the confidence, attitude and flare to pull off these bold looks! Rock music legend, Steven Tyler has reintroduced animal print shirts with his recent turn as American Idol judge and the fans can’t get enough.

Last summer, I picked up a leopard print tie at Le Chateau, great for summer paired with a lighter coloured shirt in ivory, cream or light yellow and, this past winter, found a zebra print sweater at Zara for about $60. If you want to go high end fashion, check out a leopard print bomber jacket by Givenchy (Spring/Summer 2011 Collection) retailing for about $3,078 as recently worn by Kanye West.

“Animal has been on men for a long time – music, fashion. It’s a classic.” says designer Geof Cullerton whose custom made leopard and zebra inspired Serengeti sneakers are available online right here at Ego and Greed .

So the next time you step out, take a walk on the wild side!
